Professional Bio:
Laura McKibbin, LISW, has been providing outpatient psychotherapy services since 1989. She has practiced in a variety of areas including mental health center, women’s health center, hospital and employee assistance program settings. She has specialized in the area of women’s mental health issues, and has developed innovative programming for women in the areas of eating disorders, domestic violence and depression, and has been extensively involved with training providers in those areas.

She is the current President of the Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, serves as an Item Writer for the Association of Social Work Boards and is adjunct faculty at Buena Vista University in Mason City. Most recently, Ms. McKibbin has been providing training and consultation nationally in the area of women’s psycho-social needs.
