Meet the Kailo Krew

Kailo Krew

Back row L to R

Stacie Lancaster, Kailo Program Specialist
Stacie Lancaster, Kailo Specialist, is a transplant from Big Sky Country, Montana. Stacie loves people, likes to be kept challenged and is fascinated by quantum physics - a good combination for coordinating Kailo Breaks, maintaining computer databases and ordering Kailo library books. Stacie is married to Chad and mother to three boys Steffan, Shane and Levi.

Laura McKibbin, Kailo for One Provider
Laura McKibbin is the Licensed Independent Social Worker on the Kailo team. She grew up in Iowa and loves living in the Heartland. She received her Master of Social Work from St. Louis University (Go Billikens!). Her natural curiosity in human resiliency is helpful in her work providing one on one counseling to employees and their family members. Laura loves movies, non-fiction and dogs. (Not necessarily in that order, according to Laura’s dogs Scout and Tory.)

Kelly Putnam, Kailo Coordinator
Kelly Putnam came to Mercy in 1997 as the Health Promotion Coordinator and one of the creators of the Kailo program.   She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Kansas State University and a master's degree in health education from the University of Northern Iowa.   In addition to her work at Mercy, she enjoys walking her dog, Rutabaga, going to yoga class, and spending time with her husband and friends.   In the interest of balance, she also feels compelled to admit that she loves junk food, reality TV, and celebrity gossip magazines.

Front row L to R

Glenda Eddy, Licensed Massage Therapist.
Glenda Eddy graduated from Carlson College of Massage in February 1990. She began her massage career at the Women’s Health Center the very next month and she’s been relieving stress and sore muscles for Mercy employees ever since! Let’s just say if a popularity contest were held to name the most popular employee at Mercy, we think Glenda would win hands down…(no pun intended!)

Mary Jo Baumann, Licensed Massage Therapist
Mary Jo graduated from the Iowa College of Natural Health for Massage Therapy in 1997. She's been working at Mercy since 1999 in Same Day Surgery/PACU and joined the Kailo team as a massage therapist in 2005. In her spare time, Mary Jo enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. So what if Mary Jo and Glenda were in a contest for most popular Mercy employee? Well, there's just no way to choose. We'd have to call it a draw.

Cindy Fink, KailoKare Provider
Cindy Fink received her RN degree from NIACC in 1984. She earned her Gerontological Nurse Certification in 1996 and her Tobacco Treatment Specialist training in 2007. She also has completed Levels I and II in Healing Touch. She enjoys the new challenges at KailoKare and loves meeting coworkers from throughout the hospital. She is married with two adult sons, Justin and Nathan, and one graddaughter, Autumn. Cindy enjoys quilting, camping, fishing, and boating.

Linda Halsne, KailoKare Provider
Linda Halsne was born and raised in this area. She graduated from NIACC with an Associate Degree in Nursing and from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Her work history includes Critical Care, Supervisor and Case Management. She enjoys providing KailoKare benefits for wellness services. Traveling, quiliting and gardening are activities she enjoys. She has three daughters, one son, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren to light up her life.

Becky Arneson, Quittin' Time Facilitator (Not pictured)
Becky Arneson has lived in the North Iowa area most of her life. She attended Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, where she received her BSN degree. Becky is a Community Case Manager and has ANCC Certification in Gerontological Nursing. In January 2006, Becky became certified as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Becky enjoys the opportunity to be a part of the Quittin' Time program which works with Mercy employees to stop using tobacco. Becky and her husband Dave have three children. Becky enjoys reading, playing cards, spoiling her floppy-eared rabbit, and being with family and friends.

Carolyn Ewen, Quittin' Time Facilitator (Not pictured)
Carolyn Ewen is a licensed RN and received her BSN degree from the University of Iowa. Carolyn is a Community Case Manager and loves the opportunity of being a Kailo-for-One provider. She feels the two are a perfect fit - providing support and education to improve health. Carolyn recently obtained her Tobbacco Treatment Specialist Certification. Carolyn was born in Texas but grew up in Iowa. She and her husband, Don, have three children and four grandchildren. Carolyn loves people, being outdoors, camping and trail riding on Suzie, her blue roan registered quarter horse that she raised.
